GET YOUR FRONT ROW SEAT TO FALL RHAPSODY!

AUTUMN IN THE OUTAOUAIS, QUITE A SHOW!

This fall, get a front-row seat to admire the fall rhapsody on site or in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

My guests often say to me, "It must be beautiful here in the fall!". Indeed, the landscape is magnificent and the view of the river is even more striking. The property features maple trees that turn bright red to form a large flaming ball as well as fruit trees bursting with fruit (pears, plums, apples). The fresh air is conducive to outdoor wood fires. Relax by the fireplace and admire the starry sky while breathing in the fresh and healthy air of nature. This is the time where we start to light up a good fire in the indoor fireplace.

But it's not just at Auberge Tom B&B where autumn improves the landscape. The entire region is known for its magical setting, which quietly transforms itself in mid-September to reach its peak around Thanksgiving and even beyond, depending on the year. he country roads criss-crossing the Collines-de-l'Outaouais region (Chelsea, Wakefield/La Pêche, Cantley, Val-des-Monts) are pleasant to drive along and their landscapes are quite bucolic. This is the ideal time to discover the Chemins D'Eau tourist route.

Discover the fresh products of our gourmet artisans or the gourmet dishes concocted by our local chefs on one of the many terraces in Chelsea or Wakefield.

Gatineau Park, a very popular destination at all times, is literally taken by storm by visitors attracted by the colorful canope. Gatineau Park's many hiking trails await you, as well as our beautiful community trail along the river, located below our property.

Fall color rhapsody is a short period of the year. Make sure you enjoy it to the fullest!

SHORT ACTIVITY GUIDE

Gatineau Park

Gatineau Park invites you to its Fall Rhapsody event, where you can admire the many varieties of tree species lining the trails and paths. The Gatineau, Champlain and Lake Fortune Parkways are closed to motorists from Monday to Saturday and Sunday morning until Saturday, September 26, 2020. It is therefore very pleasant to walk or cycle along them. This year, the NCC's free shuttle service will be available on weekends from September 26 to October 25, 2020 (including Thanksgiving Monday). All parking lots in Gatineau Park will be reopened from 1 pm on Sunday afternoons until sunset, with the exception of Champlain Lookout and P10.

Cycle Pathways

Ride the hundreds of km of bicycle paths on both sides of the Ottawa River and admire the cities of Ottawa and Gatineau decked out in fall colors. The urban region of the Outaouais is filled with parks, vast natural spaces and sandy beaches.

Cafés and Patios

Wakefield and Chelsea's restaurant patios await you while respecting the sanitary measures in force. Their fine dining and enchanting decor will delight your palate and eyes after your excursions in the Park or on country roads.
